Year
Predecessor of the company

Originally established in the United States as American Thermostat Corporation (1954), transferred all manufacturing assets to Hong Kong.

Our factories

Our factories began operating in China in 1986, thus establishing a parallel to their Hong Kong headquarters and ensuring competitive OEM business in thermal control, electronic controls and domestic electrical appliances.

Manufacturing facility

After the handing over of Hong Kong SAR to Mainland China in 1991, The Advance Group opened their wholly owned manufacturing facility in Qing Xi township located in Dongguan City, China.

Full vertical integration capabilities

Full vertical integration capabilities were added in 1992 to address growing global markets and customer requirements. OEM products now included white goods, HVAC, communications, automotive and medical.

MRP System

To address continuing growth in both technology and industry, ATC’s control systems were upgraded in 2001 to a MRP computerized format.

ISO9000:2000 certification

 ATC obtained BSI ISO9000:2000 certification along with SPC capabilities in 2002, which currently rates us at 6 Sigma for Automotive and White Goods products.

Implementing ROHS and WEEE

With growing safety concerns regarding global materials, we began implementing ROHS and WEEE requirements in 2006, thereby utilizing all lead-free soldering and component supplier records. Additionally, in 2006 ATC purchased land to expand our factory area to 30,000sq/m.

Precise electronic probe thermostat

In 2007 ATC successfully produced an innovative and precise electronic probe thermostat for Advance appliances.

Development of a new line

In 2008, The Advance Group began development of a new line of industrial garden tool products.
